Understand scenes and ranges

A scene is a continuous reference to part of the original recording. A trim range is a temporary timeline selection used to remove a section without changing the source file.

1. Split a scene

Drag the yellow playhead to the cut point and choose Split. The current scene becomes two separately selectable scenes.

2. Select a trim range

Choose Trim, then drag the two handles around the mistake or pause. While the trim range is active, scene selection is cleared so Delete acts on the range.

3. Delete the selected item

Select Delete. Ludexa removes the active trim range, selected scene or selected effect according to the current selection.

4. Undo or redo

Use Undo to restore the last edit and Redo to reapply it. Review the transition around each cut before exporting.
